The region’s most popular bridal salon, Elegance Wedding & Evening Wear, is partnering with Brides Across America to make wedding dreams come true for military brides throughout the Midwest. Elegance Wedding & Evening Wear will host a wedding gown giveaway, “Operation Wedding Gown,” donating designer dresses valued up to $5,000 as a special thanks to our service men and women. The event will be hosted at their Highland, IN salon, located at 2820 Highway Ave, Highland, IN. Operation Wedding Gown has grown and we are now able to grant weddings to our military couples in need. Oftentimes military couples find it difficult to plan their “fairy tale” wedding due to deployment, injury and/or economic hardship. With the collaborative effort, Brides Across America has donated over 17,000 gowns to military brides and has gifted 20 weddings.
People who want to help the cause can donate gowns or financial gifts online at www.bridesacrossamerica.com. We hope to convey how grateful we are for the service of our military families by giving them an opportunity of a lifetime. Heidi Janson, Founder and CEO of Brides Across America was recently on the Steve Harvey Show. She was surprised by ten brides who shared their stories and gratitude. Elegance Wedding & Evening Wear was honored to provide the wedding gowns worn during the show.
About Brides Across America
A national nonprofit, Brides Across America continues to honor our heroes by giving weddings and wedding gowns to our deserving military and making wedding dreams come true. Brides Across America has provided assistance to thousands of military couples since its inception in 2008. All donations that are received go directly to provide support to our couples. To date, Brides Across America, in collaboration with bridal salons, designers, and individual donations has been able to donate more than 14,000 wedding gowns and 20 weddings. This spring we partnered with Boot Campaign and Bridal Guide to give away a Dream Southern Wedding at Las Brisas Farm in Texas.
